Per the New Orleans Saints
Posted on 8/16/25 at 1:49 pm to DBG
Good. Hopefully he plays the whole first half.
Posted on 8/16/25 at 2:22 pm to DBG
Need some starters to play with him
Posted on 8/16/25 at 2:57 pm to DBG
Hoping for first two drives to be TDs and have him sit
Posted on 8/16/25 at 3:12 pm to DBG
Def. Have him Sit.
He is no Daniels, or Taudqua or Hurst
Hes going to need more time, as a primarly pocket passer
Hes def. not a running threat.

You need to get the story straight if you are geauxing to mention my name……
First, since the Saints chose to draft Shough at the #40 pick (not my choice) … then they need to START him EVERY game from this point forward to see what they received for their investment in pick # 40. By this I mean the remainder of the preseason and 17 game regular season !!
This is the only way you will know if he has future potential.
Remember, Payton and Denver also did this with their QB last year.
This is meaningful for next years 2026 draft… because when the Saints present a 4-13 record on the field per 2025, they should have a Top 3 pick in the 2026 draft.
They will NEED TO KNOW what they have in Shough because they will be in position to draft a possible franchise college QB.
If Shough reveals himself to be a future great QB… then you use the Top 3 pick on another position…. or trade back(etc.).
You know the drill.
But if Shough falls flat on his face… you then have the pick to correct the error made in the 2025 draft….
** If the Saints so choose.
Me, personally, I don’t think he’s the SAVIOR everyone wants at QB.
BUT they MuST start him every game geauxing forward to find out if he is or isn’t.
Not to do this ….would be foolish !!

If they go 4-13 because Shough sucks, they won’t go 4-13 if he proves he’s “got it”. They’ll be more like 8-9ish.
This idea that they’ll be 4-13 either way is idiotic.

Pussy Sanders is the only one that’s been hurt so far.

Listen to me closely… because you should have understood this matter from my detailed explanation above.
I will type slowly…..
Don’t throw the word “idiot” around so freely because I must explain this to you a 2nd time in response to your incorrect conclusion…
and the need for me to explain this matter a 2nd time is damning on your end my friend.
So here we geaux … yet again…..
I’m not a believer in Shough so I believe the record will be 4-13.
You then take your Top 3 pick and draft a potential franchise QB … ** if the Saints so choose (personally, I would).
If Shough navigates the team to a 8-9 record….. fine, then you pick in the middle teens (17, 18, etc) per the first round.
Listen Very Closely:
*** Where you pick in the first round of the draft IS NOT the most important issue at hand… the MOST important issue at hand is to start him EVERY game and find out what he has as a player !!
That player evaluation will drive what you do with your 1st rd pick in 2026 and as you move forward in the future !!
If he’s a future Pro Bowler and the Savior then wonderful.. we’ll all have a party…. and we all will enjoy Division titles, Conference titles and SuperBowls in the future.
If Shough is just an average, at best player, that has no potential in leading you to any championships in the future….
The Saints have a serious decision to make with your 1st rd pick in 2026 …
** wherever the pick falls in the 1st rd.
It is inferred the Saints record will be better than 4-13 if Shough is successful.. but that apparently went straight over your head !!
Shough starting every game is MOST important … and that apparently went over your head too !!
This being noted… again… be very very careful when you use the term “idiot”.
You Saavy
