Well, the GFS has a major hurricane hitting South Carolina a few days before the LSU Clemson game. This should get interesting.

Of course, earlier today, the GFS had this system hitting Louisiana as a tropical storm, so we shall see what happens.

I guess we’ll just need a repeat of 2015 and move the game to Baton Rouge.

Safety first.

Where do you see that? The NOAA 8-14 day outlook for coastal South Carolina doesn't suggest that at all, expect rainfall for that area to be near normal and a 40-50% chance that temperatures will be warmer than what is expected. Neither outcome suggests a big storm.

324 hours out, fantasy land. It'll change by the next run

This is what OP is looking at

Tropical Tidbits

Like I said, it is still nearly two weeks away and the model this morning had this system hitting Louisiana, so it will change a few times a day, but it still is something to keep an eye on. I just thought it was interesting that it would be forecasted for South Carolina when we have to play over there a few days later.

I'm used to tracking them from two weeks out. This system will change a few times a day. Just something to talk about for the next two weeks before the game.

Buddy, I'm talking about a system that is not even formed in Africa yet.

I know how they work. And, I know the track will change dozens of times in the next two weeks.

Clemson is at least 4 to 5 hours away from the SC coastline so I highly doubt the game will get postponed.

That's just Hurricane Nuss and the baws ramping up to hit the east coast in a couple weeks.

But have no fear, the top weather experts in the country are on this one...
