My man is going to need a new call sign soon…and a new set of shorts.

I’m pretty sure the eject handles are well marked, but sometimes life just finds a way.

Did the video even show what happened? I assume he ejected based on your comments, but I never saw it happen on the video.

You don’t get renamed for someone else’s frick up.

Unless he isn’t named yet of course.

The ejection has already happened in the video but the guy laying on the ground had ejected from the rear seat of the F-15 that appears at the beginning of the video.

Buddy from High School was in ROTC at LSU. Told me a story during his 2 week summer guard duty he went to Meridian naval AS. Did a ride along in a T38 trainer. Took a camera with him to get some shots. Pilot banks the plane hard and he drops the camera. He is reaching for it under his legs. It’s caught in something so he starts yanking. Turns out the strap got looped around the ejection handle. He about shite his pants. He said he was lucky it didn’t eject. He said he never told his pilot .

Renamed?

Also, you’re talking callsigns here.

Yes guy in back is a recruiting officer going for a ride along. He somehow triggered the zero-zero ejection and ended up near the tarmac

If you notice on display planes at airshows the outside canopy eject spots are taped up. Been a couple canopies ejected by folks climbing on the planes.

Yes. It’s a physiological reaction in extremely intense situations where one’s body will shut down certain functions to use all completely focus on the threat in front of you. i.e. losing control of your bladder or bowels.

I seem to remember it being called a self-defense mechanism somewhere-

Some big critter is about to eat you, so you shite and piss yourself. Gives you at least a chance that you're so nasty the predator moves on, plus you're also a bit more slippery.
