At this point it’s a shock if Gooden isn’t on one of these

I’m just glad it’s not every DT they put in there. Means that Gooden is just well… a Gooden

I appreciate the clarification of G. Nussmeier as opposed to another Nussmeier on the roster.

Also love how Gooden is giving the rest of the schedule the blueprint on how to wreck our interior offensive line this season.

Starting WRs may be Hilton, Nic Anderson, and Barion Brown. Aaron Anderson not be 100%, he will have to fight his way back.

We've either really, really found something special with Gooden or this OL is just arse. And I'm convinced so far that it's the former.

ETA: after a couple more days of practice reports, I'm starting to fear that it may be both.

Woodland needs to be on the field a lot week 1. I want him matched up on Antonio Williams in the slot

My only thing with Gooden is that they've got him listed at 6'1" 268 lbs. I would like to know if that's accurate or not. That seems like nothing for a SEC DT.

Yeah I think so too because in the game against Alabama and their terrific interior o line he stuck out

And he played against some good teams last year, not just a bunch of weak G5s.

Yes he's on the smaller end and no it hasnt mattered at all for him last year or in practices so far here

Think he is just that good. He gave Alabama fits last year.

Suggs wasn’t huge either, but was able to hang when we used him last year.

Gooden seems like a unique case at his size. He will likely hit the bench in Goal Line and obvious short yardage situations, but it’s a real weapon to have a guy with the speed and technique to get by interior OL and cause havoc up the middle. That will kill play faster than any edge rusher.

If Gooden plays with good leverage he’ll be fine. Godchaux was playing around that weight in 2014 alongside LaCouture.

He can get lower and be unblockable

I mean he was listed at 6'3" 295 lbs.

I'm not saying he's bad, I think he'll be good for us, it just makes me wonder how our interior OL will hold up against a bigger, stronger DT with his same skill set.

Am I going crazy? Godchaux was listed at 6'4" 299lbs. LaCouture was listed at 6'5" 300 lbs.

In football, you win some and you lose some

Gooden is winning a majority of them with enough of a data set at this point. Shows me there is a problem with IOL continuity.

Ed Oliver and Arron Donald were both 6-1 and considered small Dts but even they both were closer to 280ish. I hope he's added some weight and is actually a little bigger than the 260 listed.
