TLDR: They have brought in 365 million in revenue the first part of 2025. 40 million more than the first half of 2024.

All of the reasons for this are discussed in the 8 min video above. Yes the all star game is likely part of it. It also goes into why the braves didn’t do anything at the deadline. All this is based on recent financial disclosures and statements since they’re a public traded company. I think the battery concept is the future of sports franchises as well which is likely heavily driving revenue.

The braves are 9th in salary this year, but this video goes into the financial mindset around the braves based on financial targets vs season performance. They really need to spend this off season.

I’m buying this stock the last few months. The owner is older and will probably want to sell the team before he dies. MLB teams have been going for record prices. Plus I’m a life long Braves fan so it’s fun to own the team.

They’re making insane amount of money. I found the part of the video where he discusses how they decided what to do during this years trade deadline fascinating.

I don’t think us kicking the tires on buxton was really an attempt at getting f him this year, but more about the offseason. I expect a big splash to be made likely in SP, I think we pick up Ozzie’s option since it’s ungodly cheap, Eli white likely has done enough to be the 4th outfielder, so we can spend some on the BP. I think one of the catchers will be traded as well. Baldwin would obviously get a massive haul but he’s like the best hitter on the team currently. Plus all of this will need to be done through a lock out

The Braves are the marketing arm of a real estate firm. When you look at them in that aspect, everything they do makes a lot more sense.

Maybe we can spend some of that money on a SS and some pitching

Braves revenue was $670 million+ in '24
The figure includes real estate/battery operations.

Easy to find those numbers since they're a public traded and those numbers should put em in the top 5 in MLB and they should be in line for a huge bump in TV revenue when their current contract expires after '27.

Could conceivably pass both the Dodgers and Yankees in revenue with the new deal.Amazing that both McJerk and AA have both described the Braves as a "mid market" team when it's the furthest thing from the truth.

40 or 50 million a year better? probably not, and it’s no guarantee spending the money would improve the team that much anyway.

There is a direct correlation in teams that spend and find success, or at least make the playoffs.

Sure there are a few outliers on either end most years, the brewers are a good exception to this as theyre probably the best model currently for winning without spending, but exceptions make the rule.

right so spend enough to be competitive, but these owners aren’t going to ring chase the last 40 or 50 million

they should, of course, but they won’t because this isn’t a competition for them it’s a money making enterprise and that’s all.

and then they will cry poverty when they lock the players out next year

When your team is actually owned by a corporation it shouldn’t be at all surprising when they are run this way. Most ownership groups run it this way regardless but it’s a stone cold lock the Braves are going to be

The Braves definitely provide a lens into the finances that other teams don’t because of who owns them

I still will be pretty surprised if the braves dont make a signing for one of the top SP on the market this off season. Who knows though the lockout could muck up everything,

It also helps that they have the best ballpark in all of baseball.

I love when people predict the Braves to do something they’ve literally never done, sign a big FA. Their biggest FA contract is still BJ Upton.
