That was my guess. Nuss is a good QB and team leader, but WEEKS is just special!

Tomorrow. Nuss gets it, wins the Heisman, championship and number gets retired.

The tradition ends.

I kind of wish the #18 and #7 traditions would go away. They’ve run their course

I would argue that #7 has been more of a curse in recent years.

Since we are all guessing, here's my guess.

18 = Whit Weeks on D, Zavion Thomas on O
7 = Harold Perkins on D (he had it last year), Aaron Anderson on O

To the posters wishing this would just go away, I don't see that happening. The players themselves seem to like it.

The real fans that aren’t associated with this board will care because they don’t see it posted in here annually, multiple times leading up to the season.

However, the dingleberries on this board will gripe and get annoyed by this.

The last couple of years it looks like they've awarded it in the last week of August.

Then maybe you should avoid these threads.

The players seem to get excited about those things, so if they do, I'd say it has not run its course.

Agreed…the whole thing is not about the fans. It is a celebration that signals the approaching season for the players. If they enjoy the tradition, I am all for it.
