Victoria Mboko just punked Wokesaka to win one of the big U.S. Open tuneups (Montreal). Family is from the Congo, she was born in Charlotte, and they moved to Toronto when she was two months old. Cool story.

They just will NOT let go, will they?
Race is the only card they continue to play....it is like crying wolf....
People are tired of this game, and that's a fact.

I work with a few Congolese immigrants. They are not impressed with the gang violence epidemic our country has.

It was an impressive match by Mboko. Osaka started out playing well and was pushing around Mboko, but the young Canadian was not intimidated, she gradually played her way back into the match. The crowd got behind her and she just rolled in the third set.

She won despite 13 double faults which is impressive as well.

Good match. He is showing a lot of variety and great defense.

Naomi seemed like she had some sort of joy this week in the tournament, which was truly awesome to see, but she takes losing so so hard to the extent that it seems clearly unhealthy.
I’m not sure tennis makes sense for her long term right now despite how well she’s playing.
This get was incredible
