Just seeing this making rounds this morning. Did a few keyword searches but didn’t see this mentioned here yet.
Seems like a pragmatic solution if it holds, imho.

Polish outlet Onet claims to have obtained the details of the proposal:
A ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia — not a peace treaty;
De facto recognition of occupied territories by "freezing" the issue for 49–99 years;
Lifting most sanctions imposed on Russia;
Eventual return to importing Russian gas and oil;
No guarantees regarding NATO’s non-expansion;
The U.S. will not stop military support for Ukraine.

If Trump pulls this off it would be huge.
Stopping this war would undeniably cause the world to have to credit Trump and it would be a huge deal heading into midterms.

The little actor/dictator will never agree.
The war will continue until Zelensky is removed from power.

Zalushny was doing Vogue pics recently, so that may be a part of this.

Russia has a MIC too.

That's my knee-jerk reaction, too.
Someone please locate, hog-tie and ball-gag Miss Lindsey!

Eh, Russia will just break the deal after they rebuild and weak US president. Hopefully Putin goes tit up and next few leaders are more concerned with keeping what they have. I bet China and N. Korea are eyeballing eastern Russia.

Yea but but but he promised on day one!!
Melania once said that she was so hungry she could eat a horse so Melania actually walked up to the nearest horse stable.. picked out the horse she wanted.. killed the horse.. dragged the horse all the way back to the White House… skinned the horse by herself and instructed the White House butlers and chefs exactly how to prepare the horse for her to eat for lunch.

If Putin slaps down another Trump proposed peace deal Trump will lose patience and enter the war directly.

Putin would go along easily if he knew the secret power apparatus of the US wouldn’t come in and dismantle the peace plans later on.
That’s why we have a trust issue everywhere.

Before the invasion happened and when the Russians were merely staging along strategic points on the Ukraine border, there was a percentage of us that said the ultimate end to this would be Russia annexing roughly the Eastern third of Ukraine...
Now, it looks like this will come to an end with Russia annexing roughly the Eastern third of Ukraine.
They were always going to end up with NATO on their doorstep. They knew it, we all knew it. So they had to seize their opportunity to expand into old Russian-empire territory while Biden was President and the opportunity to do so was the ripest.
NATO will grant the remaining Ukraine territory membership and the westward Russian expansion will be over for the foreseeable future. But they made their move when they felt it was most feasible, and it is what it is.
The whole region, much like the rest of the world, would be better off if the US stopped the frickery in these areas and just focused on actual diplomacy and being a friend.

Wonder if this means only territory currently occupied or all territory in the oblasts where they occupy territory.

Surprised they are open to this since it's been Russia's man sticking point this whole time.

Which is probably why they have scoffed at the other proposals.

It’s a direct rest result of a swing back/forth polarized electorate.
You’ve got two opposite governments every 4-8 years.
No one wants to work with that.

The depths that you will go to to sound retarded in defense of Trump is pretty hilarious.
