Would you let Nuss practice as normal or sit make him watch practice until the Clemson game?
Can't afford an injury accidental or not.
We don't have much behind him right now.

You’re right. It’s not important for the starting QB to get as many reps as possible with the new additions at WR and a new OL.

That’s not how football practice works.
The entire offense will be practicing game specific plays based on Clemson specific tendencies. If Nuss can’t do that with them, they won’t be an effective unit with him playing.
That’s why backups, even when they’re more talented, can’t execute when they don’t get the reps before a game.

Yeah, you're right. We should keep him out of all the regular-season games, too. In case we make the playoffs.

That's obviously not going to happen if he is healthy, but with the VR capabilities we have these days its not the worst idea.
He can get the same reps in VR, except for solidifying his timing with the pass catchers
