People from the UK visit the US and realize their country is a wreck

Obviously, people on vacation have rose tinted glasses about the places they visit, but apparently, the UK has changed a lot since I last stayed there 20 or so years ago. It was different, but a pleasant place to live for the few months I was there.
It's gone way down hill -- especially considering they are literally rioting in the streets and attacking migrant hotels.
But one thing hasn't changed. News outlets outside the US -- even in friendly countries -- always portray the absolute worst of the US and never the good.
Reality is much different.

The news media is the enemy of the people.

This is what going uphill looks like

This reminds me of one of my favorite Shane Gillis clips

Well, if one person posts it, it’s gotta be true

Well duh. Most of Europe is a Muslim caliphate. No idea why Americans even go on vacation to Europe.

Interesting to see someone else’s view of the USA. I really wonder how accurate that is? Of course we know we have problems here, but it’s overall a nice country.

The UK and Canada are the paths we would have followed if the Dems were re-elected. My friend in Toronto says it's a mess with increased taxes and nothing to show for them. The monies are going to migrants and immigrants that the populace can't support.

All of them were flattering except the guy in Miami in the middle. He was complaining that the UK just has people working 9-5 and going out to the pub on the weekends while the US encourages people to make content. Is that what he is getting from America? We love social media influencers?

I go to the UK multiple times a year and to multiple countries.
Beware of the media!
Listen with your eyeballs. Mine say otherwise.

Take any of this kind of shite with a grain of salt. It’s tough for people to comprehend that there is no dynamic that persists throughout all of America.
Going to any one city or state in this country affords one very little exposure to what is here. Be like going to any place in Europe and declaring the rest of it the same. America is fricking huge. Much of it is ordinary, much is really nice, and some of it is absolute squalor and dangerous as any place in the world. Same goes for my visit to Paris last year. All I heard was the mooslums taking over. Everyone is white when you get there and it’s the cleanest place I’ve seen.
That said, having traveled to about 20 countries, it is very clear to me that the world’s perception of America is the media caricature of insanity.

You could say the same about the USA if you just looked at Minneapolis, but that's not the reality. It's not even the reality for most of Minnesota which is largely a nice state.

Would it surprise you if it were the takeaway?

That's why I prefaced the video with "people on vacation see things through rose colored glasses" I've visited many countries and I've been an expat. Your perception of things change quickly once you are working and living somewhere rather than just spending vacation dollars and doing fun things.
But one thing that has never changed is my appreciation for how things "just work" in America. We bitch about the cable guy giving us a 4 hour window when stuff needs to be fixed. Other countries? It's a week window and they may or may not show up and good luck if you ran down to the store and they stop by. The week window starts over.

I think America is great overall, but there are all kinds of videos on YouTube of Americans visiting Europe and being “shocked” by how great the food etc. is. 99% of videos are just fishing for views.

Same. England as well outside of certain parts of London where even the Muslims certainly seem to be becoming westernized as hell drinking ice coffees and hanging out with non Muslims.
The people from the north of England were maybe nicer as a whole than anywhere I’ve ever been.
Hell many of the immigrants there I dealt with in both countries were doing there jobs WAY fricking better than many of our disinterested entry level workers.
The internet paints with broad arse strokes.
