What a fricking joke...I am sure somebody will help him realize what he did, and just how truly horrible it was...or maybe multiple somebodys.

He strikes me as the type who’s been enabled his entire life by friends and family.

Hopefully this is just means he transferred to Angola and is no longer being held at the LPSO jail.

If he’s been held since it happened he’s probably finished the sentence or gotten eligible for some sort of supervised release. Credit for time served

Good defense lawyer. Terrible outcome for victims. Need better Judges and Prosecutors.

If I was one of the families who lost a loved one, I would be making plans to make sure he doesn't get to enjoy his freedom.

This does not pass the smell test.

Hopefully someone gets some answers and if the answers are not sufficient then maybe the DOJ needs to get involved in checking out the Livingston Parish Sheriff office.

There are multiple tiers of justice, just depends on how much money one has to offer the right people. No money? Yea, grab some time in jail. Money is no issue? The one year in jail, half a year for each victim who are still dead iirc. Ain’t life grand.

If he’s been all this time—which I don’t know—then there’s a year off right there. And the crime was before August when the new sentencing laws went into effect. So he could have had good behavior adjustments or gotten on home confinement, or some sort of supervised release or suspended sentence.

After August of 24 you have to do 85% of the time, but before that you could get out way sooner than that for any number of reasons.
