But also if you can discount MSRP by 100K how much markup is there on new boats. Insane

Anyone that buys a new boat isn’t worried about money.
Buying a brand new boat is for suckers unless you can use it as a business and can write off expenses. Like a charter captain or tour guide

Seeing a bunch of baws getting pissed these days they can’t sell their 15 year old bass boats for more than what they paid for them. Now just wanting someone to pick up the payments.

100k off of what, and where?
Says alot about the market when inventory is sitting even with 20+ year financing offered.

I don't have instagram
How much percentage off is this? An inboard boat could be anything from a yamaha wake boat to Micheal Jordan's Viking.

There was a brief moment in time circa 2021 where a man could flip a boat he bought in the mid to late 20-teens for a handsome profit.
Of course that applies to basically everything. The fact that you can finance a normal arse bay boat for 20 years now, and then turn around and bring it to a custom rigging shop and finance all that drama for 10 years all in the same day is a major wtf.
We were headed really hard and fast towards the "you'll own nothing and like it" fantasy for a minute there. Seems we have at least backed off the throttle a little bit.

Been pleasantly surprised with the price on used boats on Facebook Marketplace compared to just a couple of years ago. Once my youngest is done with athletics I am picking up another bass boat to do some heavy tournament fishing.

Agree 100%. Same can be said for golf carts, side by sides, etc.

Had a buddy in Tulsa that co-signed with his FIL on an expensive ski boat.
Then the fool cheated on his wife and got divorced. He got nothing for several years of payments, essentially the FIL got a boat for 1/3-1/2 off.

There are some damn good deals on used boats of all sizes out there right now.
I was window shopping the other day and saw a 2010-ish 34 contender in good shape low hours and ready to fish for $100k. Not that it's a screaming deal or anything, but it is a good sign that sanity is re-entering the market. That boat would have sold for $135k in about 15 minutes in 2022.

Holy shite, people buy THAT for nearly $200k???
Honestly the market deserves to get keel hauled. Recreational boat prices have no basis in reality. That boat should sell for about $65k IMO.

Good because there is zero reason for boats to be grossly overpriced like they are now. They jumped on the COVID train and even raised prices from there. They deserve to suffer for a while.
