I really don't understand why Trump is at odds with Massie.

Everything that Trump campaigned on, Massie is trying to work through in the House.

Because Trump the President has no problem being at odds with Trump the Campaigner.

trump is trying the carrot and the stick approach to the Ukraine/Russia war. unfortunately both leaders are deranged morons who gives no fricks about killing their own citizens.

you can't really make sense of evil like that.

I'm curious what Trump's angle is here. These are bogus numbers.

The routine where any Republican who doesnt lay down and roll over for Trump 100 percent of the time gets called a RINO is extremely silly and ditzy and retarded. Massie was a Republican back when Trump was still living in Manhattan and hosting gay rights fundraisers and donating to Democrats.

THIS Trump didn't happen until Bannon laid out the path to the White House for Trump.

Is he tho?

He's pushing for less spending, less foreign intervention, getting rid of DC waste, etc.:

But Massie is rolling over more for Trump than any other GOP representative. He's want Trump's policies on steroids.

Massie wants Mike Johnson to put the House in recess so Trump can force the Senate into recess so he can make his appointments.

Massie is trying to help Trump bigtime here.

This is absurd. Trump is the exact same dude he was all the way back in the 80's. Which is actually very refreshing to see in an elected leader. Your slam on him here is that he has hosted gay rights fundraising events?;That's pretty pathetic.

But you're right about one thing. Massie certainly is a career politician. For that reason alone I trust Trump WAY MORE than I do him.

Of course he is. But not in the way you suggest.

He's something better.

I support Trump in most things, but these continual battles with Massie are just unforced errors.

Because massie doesn't make a peep and voted Dem party line stuff, but rages about necessary and immediate needs of R's.

He's a grifter and people are too stupid to realize it.

BTW we aren't funding it, NATO is. Guess he forgot that deal.

First elected to the house at age 41 after having a career in tech and selling his company.

Your definition of "career politician" and mine are a bit different.

He's been in politics 3 years longer than Trump, if you do not count Trump's 2012 exploratory committee

The fact of the matter is that you have two very different guys.

Massie believes what he believes, votes that way, and there is no bend. It is 100% conviction.

Trump is very much a pragmatist. He says what he needs to say to get elected and then once elected, takes a significantly more measured and "deal making" approach once in office. He does not have a strict belief structure on many issues other politicians do.

This is not a commentary on whether one is better than the other. Both types have their uses. Simply an observation as to why they would be at odds.

Can’t we at least just print and hand over whatever money the MIC is getting, and the money getting kicked back to politicians, and SIMPLY STOP KILLING PEOPLE?

It would just be a matter of accounting.

I don't think it is. I think it's intentional.

On his own, Massie is an ineffective legislator who's passed 0 of his great ideas. Hell, I don't even know if he's even gotten a piece of legislation out of committee to be voted on. Historically, he's been a nobody who puts out sound bites to sound good to the few people who know who Massie is.

Trump "going at" Massie has put him in a bigger spotlight than he's ever had before. If he can't get something he wants done with this much attention, he'll never get anything done. Trump is helping him massively by giving his voice legitimacy, which he's never had before.
