Texas kicked the shite out of Clemson worse than I remembered but one thing that stood out was that Clemson’s WRs especially T.J. Moore can absolutely make plays. Bryant Wesco is another one. Our secondary is going to have their hands full shutting these guys down. Anybody have any intel on how Stamps and Delane have been looking? Would love to see these guys shut down Moore!!

LSU'S Receivers definitely aren't Chopped Liver and I think this could be the best CB's since Derek Stingley Jr. and Kristian Fulton

Pickett has been flashing elite talent all camp and delane has been sticky in coverage so far. Jackson, woodland and stamps are also having solid camps. Thankfully this isn’t 23 or 24 when we were clearly outmanned to play man coverage vs elite receiving rooms. We got the personnel to play bump n run with teams now

Defense is a team sport.

In the more recent past, we have been missing a stout DL that lets the LB do LB things and forces the QB to get rid of balls REALLY QUICKLY.

I think this DL/DE group will give ALL O's real fits. This is the stuff that make DB's look like studs as the passes are rushed, the receivers can't get through their routes quick enough, etc.

A TOP NOTCH DL is worth their weight in GOLD.

Exactly! It’s a team deal. Cover them as best as you can, rush the passer, and when you give up points to great players, your great players on offense have to put up more.

This. We are all familiar with the saying, “ it’s a game of inches”, but buried in this exceptional breakdown, is that it’s also a game of seconds and even micro seconds. A good pass rush can force the qb to throw an int, but also cause happy feet and a short mental clock. These disruptions can subtly change a game.

Stamps has been getting burned deep repeatedly.

He can’t be a starter

There is not a single DB on the roster on either Stingley or Fulton’s 2019 level.

that's certainly the prevailing narrative, not sure it's true, but we'll see by year's end.

We aren’t shutting Clemson down. They will get theres we need a turnover and three stops. If they have to throw it to keep chains moving, we win

Reading comprehension doesn't seem to be a strong trait for you. What he said isn't crazy. He didn't say they were as good he said since which is a big difference. Delane was a big portal pickup he's an NFL CB for sure.

Texas got conservative late in the game and let Clemson come back but they dominated the lines of scrimmage and we are better on both lines than Texas

We should dominate this game

It’s time for a needless TD Fact check.

280 lbs =4480 troy oz. Presently worth $14,930,000.

Chris Jones made $31.75M last year. Technically, a top notch DL is worth about TWICE their weight in gold for a single season.
