Look into 3 fund portfolio. It’ll do what you want you are trying to accomplish

Existed a long time before it was AI.
However I would suggest investing in just low cost broad index funds, which would be just as easy and provide better long term returns
VTSAX or VTI if you want an ETF to start

I’d be done working at 47 in 3 years if I could do 54% for the next 3 years

Be damn careful looking to AI for investment advice. That shite hallucinates like a mofo.
I have ChatGPT premium sub so get to mess with the latest and greatest. After laying out my positions, investment aims, risk tolerance, and sidelined money, it recommended investment strategies which said I owned things I didn’t (sell $ of XYZ but I didn’t have $ of XYZ), claimed historical precedent which didn’t exist, and created Google docs which, when they actually were created, didn’t show the historical analysis or mock runs I asked for.
It’s just not there yet, I’m afraid. I’m sure some of these investment houses and hedge fund operators have effective declarative AI agents built which do what they want, but the most advanced public generic LLM is not there yet.

To be fair, chat-prompt GenAI isn’t a good fit for building a portfolio.

AI algorithms for stock trading are usually more machine learning or neural networking than generative AI. It has been in use by banks and wall street for decades actually. In fact, many trading platforms offer an algorithm based investment strategy to retail investors.

My money with my current employer is with Vanguard and they have an option called managed account. When I inquired about how it’s managed, thinking it was an individual doing some rebalancing, he told me it’s automatically managed, which I assumed was AI generated management.

I want an AI that is designed only to maximize returns. I want it snooping out inside info and eavesdropping on board meetings.
