Yeah what does that even mean? He can't

They should have gotten this deal done before TJ Watt

Do people not realize what JJ is doing? Does he want to win the SB? Sure, but he would MUCH rather pay a little more money and have every show on tv talking about Dallas. He’s done it with all his players. Jerry is without a doubt the biggest narcissist on this planet

Ehhh. Trade requests are the new black.

He’s been pretty open about wanting profits over winning, not sure why a lot of people are still stuck on the idea that no one cares about winning more than Jerry bc he’s old as shite. All the owners are old as shite and the thing that gets their rocks off are seeing the money printer go brrr

I don't believe this at all.
The media is going crazy over this topic. But, the fact is that until both parties are willing to negotiate, its a non-story.
The Cowboys have him under contract through the end of this year and can certainly franchise him next year.
If Micah wants a new deal now, he needs to be willing to accept a deal that takes those two things into consideration. I'm assuming instead, he's looking for absolute top dollar. I sure as hell wouldn't give him that deal right now. There's no good reason to.

If tweet fails to load, click here. Well refusing to negotiate with his agent would probably be an issue for getting a deal done for the cowboys

He’s going to end up on the Eagles

I would have been done with Dallas when JJ called me Michael Parson.

I don't doubt that there could be a disconnect.
But, again, until both sides are on the same page, there's very little reason to negotiate.
Parsons from a talent standpoint deserves a huge deal.
The problem is that he doesn't have the leverage right now. So, he may have to give the Cowboys a little bit of a discount to get them to move.
The Cowboys have him locked in for the next 2 seasons well below what he's asking for.

These players seem to think this is MLB with no hard cap
You cant pay everybody 30 million

It’s pretty obvious if you have ever listened to any of his interviews he has some mental problems. They will probably throw some money at him & he will sign the contract at the end of camp that will totally hamper the salary cap. Rinse & repeat with the Cowboys

While I agree with paying him top dollar, JJ did pay Dak top dollar. If I'm MP, I'm thinking if you paid Dak all the money then I'm not taking anything less than the highest paid defensive player. If Dak can't give the Cowboys a team friendly deal then why should MP. MP is closer to being worth top defensive money than Dak is to being top QB money.

And, I'm thinking (from Cowboys perspective), the time to have the conversation on paying Micah Parsons TOP money is AFTER this season once we have him under the franchise tag.
Keep in mind, the "discount" we are discussing is still going to be TOP money...just not the same money he'd get on the open market.

I never thought Dak deserved what he got and I think it was a mistake. And, I think that mistake makes it hard to pay Parsons. But, how the Cowboys got here has nothing to do with what decisions they need to make based on where they are. They paid Dak and they paid Lamb. Slow rolling Parsons is probably the smart move unless they get a favorable deal.

Not if you want an impact defender on your roster past this season
