Louisiana should pay for the last stretch of I-49 from Fort Smith to Texarkana

It would open up tourism to the entire Midwest United States down through Baton Rouge to New Orleans
But there's no reason Arkansas should pay one penny

i'm not explaining this to dipshits who don't understand geography
as an aside, we also still need the Natchez Trace Drunk Drivers Parkway

Louisiana wont even pay to finish it louisiana through shreveport. They aren't going to spend anything out of state.

A good route to Hot Springs, Arkansas does not exist. I think we had to drive through Sicily Island last trip up there.

Well, I-55 already runs from a point between Baton Rouge and New Orleans to Chicago, Illinois directly through the Midwest.

I am sure the interstate being increased would increase road travel, but Southwest and others already have direct flights to MSY from MCI for 300-350 often lower depending on the carrier and time of the year. Louisiana should not foot the bill and help out Arkansas financially until 2040 at least because we may get some or most of it back eventually.
If Arkansas wants the revenue and the jobs and opportunity for businesses in a more central area to service markets then they should foot the bill for it.
