The Commission seats are appointed by the Governor.

I used to commercial fish and you know what? Everyone complained about gill nets and they got it shut down. And now there are no gill netters.
If everyone is so worried about it then put some action and money into it and get it shut down.

If they break the law and it’s proven then hold them accountable, all I’m saying is right now it’s legal for them to fish and if they fish by the law then so be it.
I questioned the actions of a person who suggested that they needed whale wars to fix this and then was slammed by a ton of comments.

Like I said I fished and grew up with commercial fisherman many who are great smart people who are just trying to make a living doing what is a legal activity.
Maybe it was sarcasm?! but maybe it sounds like a few of yall hope it happens.
But if we are going to wish the end of an industry based on natural resources lets just lump them all together and shut it all down based on whatever special interest group deems appropriate regardless of what agencies say.

I have heard it said by a couple of people that worked for the ldwf that if you really wanted to help the fisheries in south la then just ban all Vietnamese commercial fisherman
