When she ran the House, she, for yrs, kept a vote on legislation that would make insider trading illegal from even getting out of committee. The day before biden's EO mandating nation-wide electric cars was signed, she & her husband each purchased $500,000 worth of Tesla stock. They subsequently purchased a $20,000,000 mansion in Fla.

There are dozens of people in Congress that consistently out perform Buffet in the market. The only reason they aren't as wealthy as they didn't have the same time horizon for investment. Insider trading is absolutely an issue.

Someone else here said it first, but force Congress to only invest in mutual funds. That would be the way to ensure they are acting on behalf of Americans who are ALSO forced to invest in mutual funds in most 401ks

Would also give them incentive for the broader economy to succeed. I don't know what the real answer is but some restrictions should be made. Even in the event of mutual funds it wouldn't prevent things like what happened in 2020 though.

Here me out, force them to invest in the “Congressional Mutual Fund,” let them pick the investments, but allow every American citizen to roll their 401k into it.
