He seems to be taking a very different approach than past coaches, in partnership with new Director of Sports Science Ted Rath.

Lots of emphasis on recovery time, injury prevention, team bonding, and focused and fast work.

They seem to be doing a lot of simultaneous things on the two fields, including 11 on 11 going on both fields at the same time.

They are doing shorter, faster practices, with much longer periods of downtime and substantial emphasized time strictly for "recovery". There is an emphasis on more precise and focused practices instead of longer, looser sessions. They are apparently going by strict standards as to when they are outside in the heat and for how long.

They have also done substantially more "team activities" than in the past. Paintball, bowling, movies together, etc etc

Some will call it "soft". Some will call it smarter science.

What does the ST think of the new approach.

I wonder if this is something Moore is bringing to the table or is this something he picked up in Dallas or Philly.

I need to see the results on the field to form a true opinion. What this team has been doing in the past has not worked, so we should all be open for some drastic changes.

It also appears the veterans are very vocal in support of this approach and have talked about the built in rest days. If this is drastically different from other teams, and end up showing positive results on the field, could go a long way when trying to compete for veteran FAs.

Good chance a player on a super bowl contending team will play thru a nagging injury.. while a player on a 3rd place NFC South team will choose to sit

Don't even know if this is all about him solely but also the obvious lack of respect many guys had for Dennis Allen.

I don't think it will, at least this season, but maybe we can build some culture while sucking like the Lions did.

simple fact of any situation all the time at this time. Players are fighting for roster spots, new coaching staff, fighting for playing time etc. There's gonna be a lot of glazing for some players regardless of their actual intellectual point, its fair to take it as arse kissing and glazing at this time.

He may be on to something. And if you hire a Ted Rath use him.
Bobby has mentioned since mini camp about CKMs speed and efficiency of his practices. If this staff can get a better grip on stamina and injury prevention I'm all for it.

In general, we should do the opposite of whatever the org was doing under Dennis Allen. So I’m all for it.

If it keeps players healthy the pelicans need to reach out as well.

I mean the results may not be great this year, regardless but the process could be great

If they’re cramming in a lot of work in a short time and avoiding injuries, I’m all for it.

It’s a thousand degrees, these guys are going to get conditioning in. No need for some junction boys shite. Get it, get the work done, and get out.

You are too old to just immediately adopt and repeatedly use brand new slang for which there already exists terminology. It’s sad

He lacks the player talent to produce great results

By positive results, I don’t mean actual wins and losses or specific stats. Based on what they are changing with these practices and what this team has experienced in the past; positive results may simply be minimizing injuries

Moore has a whole first year to experiment cause the team will be pretty bad.

2-4 win season.

Top 5 draft pick.

Team bonding will always get results.

They will all give a shite what the team goal is. And fight for each other a lot more…. regardless if they’re winning or not.

it's a marathon and not a sprint.

with the CBA being the way it is now you aren't really set up for all that much.

I guess the one good thing about no primetime games this season is that the team will get a full week of practice and no short weeks.
