I have a job offer in Arabi that I am seriously considering taking. Are there any nice areas in St Bernard Parish that an OT balla from Northeast Louisiana can live or is it mostly methhead areas? Serious answers only please.

Buy a house in English Turn Subd and take the ferry, pick up some Rocky and Carlo’s for dinner on the way back.

Get you a bad arse camp in Shell Beach baw. Fort Beauregard

If you're not a big balla, I imagine more people would rather live in Metairie or Slidell and just commute honestly.

Best trailer parks in the state!

Go to Arabi, real talk. Even better “Old Arabi” by the river,
I would not stay in Chalmette if you paid me, but Arabi I could do

If you go new construction your homeowners wont be that bad. Cheaper than Jefferson or Orleans. Flood will be high just like in Orleans!

Physician, correct?

If so, buy in old metry—thank me later.

Serious response.

Now that’s a good idea.

Looked at houses on the lake in Slidell last weekend but I kinda don’t want a 30 minute commute.

ETA: I looked at Metairie last weekend too and it’s just expensive. I don’t think my dogs could adjust from their current situation of having free range of a hundred acres to going to a 1200 square foot house with a patch of grass as a yard.

I'll stay on the property and take care of the dogs for you.

Correct

But that’s an awful lot of money for not much house. Is living there really worth it?

I really like old arabi but it’s been awhile since I’ve been that way.

ETA: Old Metairie is awesome. You pay for it, but it’s safe, convenient, well kept, and has access to everything. I love it.
