I tried walking this month due to the excitement of my first push cart. I will not be doing that again until October.

I walked 9 yesterday.

My shirt was so soggy that on my last full swing, the heaviness of the shirt pulled me off balance.

I walked 18 Tuesday.

Probably get a cart today since I’m starting later.

Was cart path only, I may have walked only slightly less far than the guys in carts.

I got one of those clip on Ryobi fans and a giant Titleist umbrella for when I walk.

Doesn't help.

I walk quite a bit.

Always if cart path only. Yes, it’s hot but i try and run 5-6 days a week in the heat and playing golf doesn’t feel so bad.

Why would anyone walk 18 holes in Louisiana heat from June to September? Is it really enjoyable? October to May is a nice walk. The summer is a nice ride.

I walk 18 once or twice every weekend in the Baton Rouge area. 49 now and still doing good. But yes, I’m completely soaked by around hole 6. Dry towels and plenty of water are my friends.

I walked Gus Wortham (Houston) yesterday. Yeah it was hot, but it would be hot in a cart, too. I am not a member anywhere, so I usually expect to have to wait a bit on most courses. I'd rather walk to my shot and wait a shorter amount of time rather than hurrying up to wait longer. I think I play better when I walk due in part to the round feeling like it flows more smoothly. I completely understand why some people prefer not to walk, but I feel a sense of accomplishment after my walking rounds.

I made my goal to walk over 50% of my rounds this year. I figured I would need to walk at least some rounds in the summer to make that happen.

The heat is beatable but it requires too much effort. Easiest way is healthy breakfast, electrolytes, canvas hat.

Yep, heat is brutal, but I prefer to walk, especially if carts on path. I like to use a push cart w umbrella for shade. It feels 10 degrees cooler that way.
