This thread will be absent the usual leftist suspects except for Seldom Seen who will ask “what does this have to do with Epstein”
Posted on 7/23/25 at 3:53 pm to NashvilleTider
I think it’s also the only one we’ve ever had?…

Yea but the problem with this deal is that it’s not Epstein

The importance of these trade deals has been vastly underestimated in the media. Giant news for American workers and the economy

This is YUGE!
Shame it slipped all the way to the third page.
It’s a great video too.

Trade the entire WNBA for young, big-tittied Japanese women, and then this is the best deal in the history of ever!

Japan already owns more US treasury securities ($1.2 trillion) than any other country. It’s in both countries interest to have a fair trade deal. Japan is lifting some bans on some agriculture goods like rice. The deal continues the agreements on no tariffs on most products that deal with nuclear power and semiconductors exported to Japan.
One third ($52 billion) of Japanese products sent to the US are automobile related. There was a tariff of 15% on Japanese cars in 2024 and there is 15% tariff now.
The trade deal in 2024 also had Japan investing $550 billion in US mainly in Japanese businesses and the 2025 deal has Japan investing $550 billion in the US.
The UAW’s not happy about the 15% tariff. From 2020 to 2024 there was 16% swing for Trump. Trump campaigned on higher tariffs on cars and they are back to where they started.
The 25% tariff on steel that changed on June 5th to 50% is set at 50%. Negations are still ongoing for steel and aluminum.

It also removes a lot of non tariff barriers that Japan is infamous for. An example, they will now allow cars that follow American safety standards.

is this the deal that means japanese cars are tariffed at 10% fully imported, but the plants in america making AMERICAN cars, they have to pay 50% on the imported raw materials?
also,
i can't imagine what kind of stupid the japanese person that looks at toyota, nissan, honda...and then chooses to buy a Ford Escape
