Why are conservatives funnier than liberals?

I mean it's not even close. Everything from memes to jokes to pithy banter, conservatives are just funnier.
Is it because liberals are programmed to see misery and despair everywhere they look? Are they incapable of having an apolitical light moment?

Humor has always made fun of people getting into trouble. It goes all the way back to Aristophanes. When silent film was created it was a man slipping on a banana peel. People laughed at him hurting his butt. Liberalism says we should not make fun of the pain of others.

Anyone who has red lines for things that are off limits to joke about will be unfunny. Libs more often have these red lines and more extreme prohibitions. That's not to say conservatives don't do it too, it's just that the left has been much more vocal in their virtue lately.

Because in order for something to be funny, there needs to be elements of truth in it.
