Not saying this is good or bad, I just always think it's interesting to see confirmed numbers on this type of stuff.

They wouldn't provide exact numbers beside splitting it up by gender.
quote:

The 2024-25 figure is up from a combined $19.4 million in 2023-24 when A&M men’s athletes received a combined $18.9 million and women’s athletes received a combined $528,184.86. In 2022-23, A&M athletes received a combined $6.1 million with men getting $6.0 million and women getting 154,721. In the first year NIL was legal, A&M athletes received a combined $3.0 million with $2.9 million going to men’s athletes and $100,299 going to women’s athletes.

I'd be so pissed if I was contributing to this.

Is it good to brag about this when you can't win titles

Might be the worst investment in the modern sports era.

Idk if it’s them bragging necessarily. It was a response to an open records request. I would like to see how other school stack up. This is the first I’ve seen of a school really confirming these numbers.

Congratulations, A&M!! Y’all just won the National Championship in the sport of wasting money.

Has to be somewhat satisfying as an Aggie fan though. You know you won’t be outspent. Just have to get the coaching hires right. Easier said than done however.

Agreed. Getting the talent is half the battle and at least they know they won’t really have trouble with that

Knowing that the bulk of this went to a football roster that produced an 8-5 season is sickening.

It is fun to dunk on the Aggies, and they mostly deserve any shite they get, but the current system is beyond broken.

Spending that much to not even sniff an SEC title is hilarious

If there’s 1500 male athletes on campus, that’s an average of over $30,000 per athlete. I won’t use the term student-athlete here because some football players are making bank. 1500 is probably very high. I wonder how much the swim and dive team make.

Did they even contend for an SEC title in anything??

I mean women's track. Softball... Anything?

I want a refund
Yeah, the ROI is laughable but it’s just amazing how much LSU hates A&M. By FAR yalls biggest rival.
