Throw them on tour together at both of their primes and he doesn’t sniff Tiger

Not to take away from Scottie. He’s awesome and I enjoy watching him

He's also on the same pace as Rory

It would probably take his wife taking a golf club to his knee for him to take as long as Rory to get to 5 though and I dont see a chance of that happening.

He has to win 1.5 a year until age 36 to catch Tiger

Except Tiger was like 6 years younger when he won his first.

He’s not a pussy like Rory so this won’t be a comparison for long

Nope, he’s about 4-5 years behind Tigers pace.

Tiger Woods was 21 years old when he won his first major.
Scottie Scheffler was 25 years old when he won his first major championship.

Tiger Woods was 24 years old when he won his fourth major.
Scottie Scheffler was 29 years old when he won his fourth major.

By the age of 29, Tiger Woods had won 10 major championships

So not really.

Let's just hope Scottie doesn't have the injury issues Tiger faced.

We know his ankles have a lot of movement in his golf swing. An Achilles injury could force a swing change like Tiger went through.

Love Scottie and I’m pulling for him. We kind of knew Tiger would have injuries early on because his body was never going to withstand his swing long term. Of course he had some bad luck but the drastic body changes he made himself probably didn’t help. He’s my alltime fav but watching what happened to him was damn near tragic.

Imo Tiger got a lot more athletes playing golf. Feels like the quality of player is better now than when Tiger was in his prime and Tiger is a big reason why.

The torque he put on his back was just inhumane.

During the 97 Masters he weighed 145lbs doing that shite.

As others have already noted, Tiger did this before the age of 25.

Scottie is impressive but we gotta stop the comparisons

The comparison of Scottie from 22-25 to Tiger in 02-05 is equally silly bc that wasn’t Tiger’s best 4 year run.

Unbelievable that someone downvoted you. At 29 Tiger had won 46 tournaments & 10 majors. He was set to blow by Jack & win 100+

Scottie is the best thing since sliced bread but ain't nobody catching Tiger's records

The difference is Tiger basically hit a wall (thanks to injuries and scandals) in his 30’s, so Scheffler has the opportunity to catch up to that pace if this run continues.

That’s a very big IF but it’s certainly possible.

Amazing to think about how Tiger would’ve blown past Jack if he had just kept his stuff together.

He absolutely did, and he also changed the way golf was being taught from a young age. It’s going to get even more difficult to win. When there are 40 guys like Luke Clanton and Gordon Sargent and all their clones with 190 ball speed, it’s going to be even more difficult to win majors. Someone is going to get hot with all the speed and aggressive play.
