Just watched the last few minutes again. Lots of funny moments (for LSU fans) in that time period after Kentucky kicked the go ahead field goal (gatorade bath, tearing down goal posts on the other end of the field, clueless fans still celebrating after the LSU TD). This is the clearest copy of the game I have seen.

Saban was unimpressed and then we went out and lost to Alabama 32-0 or whatever it was after that fake transcript made the rounds. We had a top 10 team then Mauck got hurt and i think it was Damien James iirc got kicked off the team for stealing someone’s purse in the quad. He was the QB of the defense.

i had a killer LSU ringtone though.

Damien James was weed, Larry Foster was the purse.

Never gets old.
My favorite is the expression on the face of the guy in the black coat.

Little known fact was ESPN had on their ticker at the bottom that Kentucky won. Where I was, the game wasn’t on TV she before cell phones so thought we had lost. Then the breaking news…

We’ve seen some crazy games but this and Tennessee in 2010 are their own tier of bizarre ending.

I was holding my 1 week old son and had to hand him to my wife to celebrate. Will never forget it.

I just noticed that!! He is celebrating but then sees Randall start celebrating…his whole demeanor just implodes ??

We were at a bar in Dallas watching the game. My husband was pissed off and talking to the bartender to close out the tab. Everyone else in the bar was trying to do the same.

Felt like I was the only person still watching the game and starting screaming and jumping up and down. That’s when my husband and the rest of the bar looked back up at the tv and realized what happened. But they missed the throw. It was amazing.

Lorenzen really cost them the game by calling their timeout with 15 seconds left. Such a basic thing that teams do now, this is probably the case study for why.

I was finishing up a 5k race on campus in memory of Charlotte Murray Pace, victim of Derrick Todd Lee serial killer. I remember the police on motorcycles huddled around their bike radio celebrating and I thought, “I guess LSU did something good.” Bittersweet. RIP Charlotte.

With 0:22 left in the game they showed a highlight of the 2001 game of LSUs comeback win in Lexington. Never realized that, I was a young kid at the time. Why did we play at Kentucky in back to back seasons? That never happens nowadays

That was great watching their fans storming the field behind Randall with their hands in the air celebrating then their hearts sink as they see Randall’s reaction to the TD at the other end of the field

That was back in the day when I used to go to all of the away games. I had been to Lexington the time before ans wasn't impressed with their game day atmosphere.

So I stayed in BTR and watched the game at Pastime with purplhze2000.

That ending gives me chill bumps. Wish I had gone.
