Preferably under $100. Just something basic maybe with Bluetooth capabilities.

Found a used one. I still use the old Optimus (Radio Shack) player that my grandfather had in his work shed. Get a BT RCA adapter and you are good.

To piggyback on what others have said, it doesn't have to be of super high quality, but make certain that it is Bluetooth compatible. Trust me. They will only listen to it with a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. The yutes of today are not going to invest in an amplifier or speakers.

I guess they wouldn't be concerned, but doesn't using a bluetooth speaker nullify any benefit of using a physical record? I thought the whole point of vinyl was to not be digitized.

Yeah, what would be the point if you are just listening to the music digitized? You might as well just use Spotify at that point.

For $100 with Bluetooth you kind of cut out any "known" audio brands...
If Amazon reviews are to be believed, this one might be a good buy at $99 (but I just noticed the "Frequently Returned Item" warning... so I dunno...)

The Audio-Technica AT-LP70XBT is the reigning champ of "budget" Bluetooth-compatible turntables according to audio magazines and sites, but it's over $300.

Kids of today don't care. They are used to streaming and YouTube. I raised my kids on HD DVDs, SACDs, and HiFi systems, and yet they both listen to record players through Bluetooth speakers. I'm just glad to see the Allman Brothers or Fleetwood Mac on the turntable instead of Sabrina Carpenter.
