Trump just sued Rupert, along with the Wall Street Journal. I get why he sued the WSJ. But why Murdoch?
I am NOT a political junkie. But I thought those two would be aligned.

You don’t have to like the WSJ but they’re not stupid. They didn’t run the story unless they knew on good authority it would hold up to legitimate legal scrutiny.
When MAGA realizes they have the goods they’ll quickly pivot hard to “who cares”. Which, to be fair, should be nobody (Dems included).
The whole Epstein thing is a catastrophe of his own making, but this letter thing is a small side show and isn’t ultimately what anyone really cares about. Client lists (if they exist) is what ppl want.

IDK about them personally, but people forget how hard Fox personalities went on Trump in the 2016 primary.
It backfired, of course, because they were giving him more airtime than all the other candidates combined.
Paul Ryan is also on the Fox board now, and not a Trumper.
Lou Dobbs was probably the Fox personality closest to Trump, and Fox dumped him after the 2020 election.

Paramount who owns CBS is trying to sell itself in an $8bn merger with Skydance. Axing shitty programs and settling the Trumo suit is just business.
