Black Lives Matter announces economic boycott of Homewood following killing of Jabari Peoples
Activists say downtown Homewood will become the center of increased protests unless leaders show the “moral clarity and courage” to respond to demands to release footage showing the shooting of an 18-year old man by a police officer.

As if every white person in Mountain Brook, Vestavia, Homewood, Chelsea, Meadowbrook, etc. don’t buy houses as far away from black neighborhoods as possible.
Give me a break.

Homewood has really gone down a lot in the last 20 yrs. Aunt and Uncle lived there for many years until they passed.

Lots of white flight has happened in the last 10-15 years. Other elements moving in.
Parts of it are still like the old days I guess, but not much.

I will call this accusation pure bullshite. Now black teens showing up at a private swimming pool uninvited and then cussing out the owners when they made them leave happened just yesterday with video evidence.
