My pick is pj woodland. I know perk is the star but I think In man coverage downs woodland will be on the field covering shifty slot wideouts and I think he’ll do a damn good job at it.

He’s sticky as hell, has long arms ,athletic and competes hard. I think his impact will be felt as soon as the Clemson game imo he’ll be a big piece in slowing down their stud slot wideout. He showed a lot of talent as a true freshman I expect a big jump year 2.

CJ Jackson has made huge leaps which his body is up to 6’4 240. Could be a big time pass rusher.

I love that there are so many options to consider this season. I think Baker will have the defense dialed this season. I found myself truly wondering how Perkins will do this season. I hope he is fully healed up and absolutely unleashed this year!!!
I agree that Keys is not talked about enough.
O-line is our biggest question, of course.
The anticipation for the Clemson game is consuming af!!! Lets Geaux!!!!!!!

Someone people aren’t talking about is freshman DL #94 Zion Williams. Listed at 6’ 4” 355 lbs. I’m not saying he is going to be a starter or main contributor, but I think he is going to earn some playing time throughout the year and make his name known.

He had a good spring and looks like he moves well for a big boy.

With all the work West Weeks has been putting in, I expect him to have a productive year and give us really good veteran depth in the middle of the defense.

Reilford is a good choice but I’m hoping the addition of Kyle Williams will push one of the interior guys to have a big year. Williams maximized his talent with technique and effort. Breaux, who played for Williams at Ruston, had a better freshman season than the more highly touted McKinley for these two reasons.

I’ve hoped every Dline coach would get the most out of his players. As a long time Williams fan I’m hoping to have something we’ve been missing for a while. A dominant D line.
