Amazing he lasted this long. No one really cares about these Late night shows anymore. If there's something you really want to catch, you can just watch clips of it on social media.

He was never funny once he stopped his conservative shtick. Trump completely broke him. Still, strange to see he got cancelled.

That might be why his show is falling first, Colbert interviewing politicians and political analysts doesn't appeal to most people, the other shows seem to have a better track record of producing viral clips.

Should have given it to Craig Ferguson when Letterman retired.

I guess he made the right move, as Comedy Central is basically dead, and CBS gave him a truckload of money.

But still. frick that guy.

So weird to think he went from one of the funniest and most well-liked people on television to STRAIGHT UP frick THAT GUY.

What a fall. A lucrative fall I wish I could make…

Late night TV is dead. Just a stale relic from a different era of TV.

Them all turning into nightly far left political sermons certainly sped up the decline.

I predict in a few years all will be gone except for the Tonight Show, which NBC will keep because of the brand name.

I’m sure it’s the cool thing on the conservative message board to pretend he was never funny. It’s right wing hipsterism.

But you know he was. The Colbert Report was great.

Why is it gonna take until May of next year to get rid of this mess ? I’d just assume about watch anything in these late show slots. They flat suck.

All he had to do was be funny and not a whiny frick, and he was incapable of doing so

Networks would legit get more viewers if they just hired uncontroversial Youtubers (Mr. Ballen, Simon Whistler, etc.) to talk about random things

Unlike Jeffrey Epstein, Late Night talk shows actually did off themselves.

I’ve said since day 1 they should have given the Late Show to Conan after Dave retired. It would have been a great story of two guys who were a screwed by Jay Leno. Giving it to Colbert never made any sense.

He was vocal about wanting to be done with late night.

He was also way too weird (and good) for the prime late spot in CBS, with their ancient viewership.

I tried watching him a few times and never found him funny. It wasn't even his anti Trump stuff....he just wasn't funny to me.
