If so, please explain why my package from Florida, has been to Memphis, then St. Rose, La., then Dallas, now in Austin, Texas?

I live in Covington, La.

I have ordered from this company many times before; always received my orders within 3 or 4 days.

So when you track your package obsessively the USPS puts a red flag on your IP address and delays the potentially mass killing devices you have ordered off Amazon.

Not me but let me guess, you ordered a poster?

A small tube containing a 18x24 poster took almost 9 weeks to receive it. From OK all the way to FL.

Former sorter, current letter carrier here. Sometimes it’s fun to pick on weaklings so we send their shite on the scenic route.

That's a lot of runaround... my advice is to drive to TX and intercept it.

I wish you could have preferred or excluded shipping methods when ordering stuff.

I cringe when I order something and I see they shipped it USPS.

Usually means chances are great it will be late or Im never seeing it

I’m career USPS. Have you notified your post office of the issue, and if so, do you know if they have done anything to help re-direct it? If you can provide me with the tracking number and the destination zip+4, I should be able to help you. I deal with this occasionally. The non-RSS offices like the one I run switched over to region specific tracking numbers last year and the issue you are having has become more common. A few years ago, this rarely occurred.

Destination zip code is 70433 - Covington, Louisiana.

It's not an Amazon package shipped via USPS.

I will give it a couple more days, then I will contact USPS.

It just does not make any sense; it had already arrived to a Louisiana USPS facility 51 miles away from Covington, and then sent out of state to Dallas and Austin, Texas? UGH!

If you don’t feel comfortable giving me the tracking number, contact your local post office and tell them your parcel is looping and to please submit your tracking number for a PRES update.
I have an awesome working relationship with my district office in Nashville. Anytime I have this issue, I just have to email my district consumer affairs office and tell them I have a looping parcel that needs a PRES update (which is basically updating the destination zip+4 that is encoded in the tracking data). It has never taken more than 10 or 15 minutes after my request and they confirm the correction. Then, the next time the parcel goes on a sorting machine, it will get headed in the right direction.
I wouldn’t wait any longer, let your office know tomorrow so the data can get corrected before the weekend.

Wow, I have just experienced something like that on my last 2 eBay purchases. A seller had the package picked up the next day after the order, and it shipped then. 10 days later and a zig zag through several stops in Washington, Phoenix, Atlanta, Birmingham, Nashville, Birmingham, local post office, Birmingham, another local post office, Birmingham and then my local post office, and finally delivered. 10 days after shipping with priority shipping rates. Crazy.

I have another now doing something similar and should be here today. Wow.

It's pathetic.

I've had packages LITERRALLY do a drive by, then go to a completely different state for a 4 day delay.

One thing is for sure, if that fricker has to go through Memphis, add 5 days to the delivery time.
