Last year they canceled a series against Louisville to schedule Eastern Illinois. In the last few days, they canceled a two-game series against Virginia to play Kennesaw State and Austin Peay instead

Why not? They can just hope to miss OSU and then whatever other team is good that season and make the playoffs with a CG loss.

Strength of schedule is out the window, so why not schedule FCS schools?

Arkansas has a top 5 hardest schedule every year. Arkansas averages 5-6 wins a year. No one gives a shite Arkansas has a hard schedule, they just see a 5-6 win team. I’d love an easier schedule where we had a realistic shot at 9-10 wins every year.

Wrong. I'm using the bathroom right now looking at my Phile Steele magazine and he had Arkansas with the 23rd toughest schedule last year.

To be fair he has Arkansas with the 3rd hardest for this season.

So Rhule was right. If you take away the incentive to schedule tough opponents, teams will stop scheduling tough opponents.

lol? This is smart. LSU is retarded scheduling good opponents.

The committee has made it very clear that your opponents don’t matter.

Indiana already has 9 P4 games built into their schedule. ACC/SEC play 8 so there's already an extra built in P4 level game in their schedule

They have the same number of P4 level games as most SEC/ACC teams without scheduling additional ones.

Smart at the expense of the fan. You can basically skip 25% of a top tier team’s schedule every year.

Such an awful argument. A bunch of minimal risk games vs a couple high risk games isnt the same thing.

Conference games are MORE risk than non-conference games.

How would a game against Virginia OOC be more risk than a conference game against Iowa or Wisconsin?

If you’re in the B10 or SEC, sure.

Regardless of strength of schedule, if you come out with only 1 or 2 losses, you’re in the playoff.

Can’t say the same for 10-2 Miami

You didn’t limit your original statement to only 2 conferences
