Wonder what the data source is, or is this just someone's random scribbling?

Louisiana seems like the one that doesn't really fit here.

I agree, but could just be the pervasive corruption of Louisiana politics.

Funny how people from Louisiana call Georgia a "Shithole"

Connecticut is getting a huge influx of people who’ve been priced out of NYC. No way they’re losing more than they’re gaining.

I like Louisiana, but i acknowledge that we are not a great state. If you dont have family, or a decent friend network, there's really no reason to be here.

Only problem is the people leaving those states continue with their voting habits in the new state they move to.

What does Louisiana have to offer that is superior to the other states on the list?

Louisiana is because of limited job opportunities.

The major city is a shithole and the jobs that open up there are bartending jobs.

And most of the people that leave Louisiana are young professionals going to Houston or Dallas.

PA & LA are both Red states.

My guesses as to why people are leaving LA are:

- Insurance Costs
- Education
- Crime
- Corrupt Government
- Unfavorable Demographics (too many Canadians)

So true. Blue staters moving to red states and trying to turn them blue. A saying my uncle used to tell California implants...

"you moved here because you didn't like there. Please don't change here into there. I didn't move there and try to change there into here. Why would you do that. If you really like the way it is there, why not stay there. The reason you moved here is because you like what we did here and not there"

The number one reason for LA is jobs.

Yep, we needed OP to be better than this.

I fell for OP’s clickbait. He can eat another downvote for being a shitty poster.

And other than California I would say weather.

I like hot weather.

Naw, get out more. That’s a nostalgic narrative that crumbles once you live elsewhere.

It also disappears when you become a good cook. You find yourself disappointed in so many Louisiana restaurants- even places with iconic reputations (like Prejeans in Lafayette) just leave you sad and disappointed once you learn what good food is.

Uhmm...

Yea, we have a lot of problems.

Education, poverty and corrupt government. They all reinforce each other. We have made some tax reforms and are poised for some more.

And education is trending in the right direction. And the state has landed some strong economic deals.

Corruption potentially getting worse, unfortunately.
