Is Stevia a healthy option for sugar?

About the only thing I use sugar for these days is coffee. I'd like to eliminate that too if I can find a healthy substitute.
If the answer is "drink it black", I'm out. I'd rather just quit drinking coffee.

No. Use raw sugar in moderation. All these “health” companies putting in supplements and products. Trash.
Ready for this folic acid shite to go away as well. Absolute poison.

Someone is missing the boat in this by making a brand called:
STEVIA WONDER!
You can't see the difference!

My wife buys Stevia. I tried it in my ice tea and it tasted sorta anemic.

Not if it's chocked full of risen.

I hope so because I use it instead of sugar most of the time.

It's crazy trying to find a protein shake or bar without stevia and/or sucralose. You have to watch closely.

Stevia is a plant....
Monkfruit taste more like sugar to me, Stevia has an aftertaste.

It is. It is made from a plant. It's got to be as healthy as coffee which also comes from a plant. Per unit size, stevia is much sweeter than sugar. So there's that.

If that’s truly the only sugar you’re really consuming it doesn’t really matter either way.
I personally try not to eat a bunch of shite made in a lab. The studies on artificial sweeteners are still pretty inconclusive, but like the sugar, that small of an amount is pretty inconsequential whether it’s bad for you or not

Well if that’s the only criteria, so are seed oils

Don’t drink cheap nasty crap coffee. If you would ever drink a good coffee then you could drink it black.
And community isn’t good coffee!

Yes. Stevia is healthier than putting sugar or artificial sweeteners in coffee. It takes some getting used to but I drink black coffee with it. Stevia is just a leaf. It’s natural. It does not spike insulin nor does it have calories. Opt for pure stevia, not truvia.

Pretty sure my sugar comes from a plant too.

If you have to ask, then you know the answer.

Splenda Stevia is about the only non sugar sweetener for diabetics. I use it in my coffee because I can't stand the yellow or pink packs of whatever the hell that stuff is.
It has the least amount of after taste and I honestly now can't stand coffee with sugar. It's the most "natural" artificial sweetener. Whatever that truly means.
If you are not diabetic, I would focus on cutting down on real sugar or use honey. I have learned to like Corn Flakes and Rice Krispies with no sugar but black coffee is a no go.
