This made me lol. When I was young and working in the plants, I stumbled upon a conversation of my co-workers and ended up getting made fun of for never being in prison, not jail. They were from Magnolia projects so I mean I get why they felt that way.

Spent a night and half a day in St Tammany years back. Tough way to fight a hangover.

It’s not fun. Very boring. Food is terrible, plus your locked up with other stupid people.

Just for a hour or so when I was 18. I had to to jail to get people out so much in college the cops all called me “frat counselor” phi gamma consiglieri etc and shite back in the day, but we’re really cool about everything

My stupid arse got a DWI when I a dumb kid. Spent the night in the slammer.

A long time ago I had a propensity to fight, got locked up a lot, 90 days in county each time. Been a long time.
I had no issues with it, food was good to me, 3 hots and a cot etc.
Never went to the pen, my grandfather did 20 years and hated it……

A few times…. For 1-4 days… total of 11 days in my life.
It is not anywhere I would ever want to go again. It’s the worst imaginable boredom and the worst imaginable conditions I would ever want to experience.
Coming out each time (just being 3-4 days) was like being re born.
County lock up means you don’t see the sun… you barely eat… you sit in a cell with nothing but your thoughts and if you’re lucky a book.
It’s awful
