What happened to Louisiana RBs?

Seems like we had a long run of superstars and we would go 4-5 deep at the position.
Am I missing something?

You are missing the 4 star and 5 star RBs who are freshmen from LA this year.

Seems like we had a gap in stud RBs in Louisiana, but will soon come to an end.

yeah, like the fact that 3 of the top 10 RBs in last years class were from LA, including the top RB in the class, Harlem Berry...
2024 was an anomaly in the fact that we basically had no RBs of worth in that cycle...
2023 we had a top 10 (Kaleb Jackson) and criminally underrated Trey Holly
2022, 4 of the top 25 RBs (2 in the top 10) came from LA... and that class had Jeanty and Judkins rated outside the top 25... lol...

To your point, there wasn’t one in 24, 21, 20. We signed Kaleb Jackson in 23. Moss, Sampson, Etienne went OOS in 22.

This just further proves that recruiting rankings mean absolutely nothing and the coaches know a lot more about talent and potential than any of us do. So don’t freak out too much next time Rivals or 247 rates an LSU commit a 3 star.

absolutely agree... recruiting can be an absolute crap shoot....
one thing that was striking to me, when I was looking at the past rankings, was how many of those top recruits are no longer with the team they originally signed with.... the 2023 class, 8 of the top 16 players have already transferred at least once... but that's CFB now, so it is what it is

An OL that is too weak to get a push forward and open a hole would make our historically best RBs look ineffective.
