I think we made a mistake trading Kelly Olynyk

If we really are aiming for the playoffs we need more size and we can’t rely on Queen year 1. Olynyk would have been the perfect big man to play with Missi when teams go to a 2 big man lineup that seems to be becoming popular again. I hope Karlo can step up and give us good minutes playing with Missi because we would sacrifice so much offense if we had to play Missi and Looney together.

He had a couple of nice games early on and that's what most fans remember because we were so bad prior to trading for him. But the reality is, he wasn't good once teams got tape of how we used him.

What? Another poster argued the other day that he was the centerpiece of the trade that got us Poole.
So what you are saying is that he was just a contract?

Considering Washington pretty much dumped him for some fringe NBA players and a second round pick, that seems plausible.

we really put ourselves in pickle with wanting to compete this year but also drafting two players in the lottery.
the only way queen is going to get better is if you play him real minutes. him not playing much this year is really going to stunt his growth.
we have to try to win while also playing the young guys. tough task.

I do think we hit on Micah Peavy at 40. He’s going to get some minutes because of his defense. His jumper didn't look bad either.

Karlo will be significantly better than Olynyk this coming season. It won't even be close.

I’m not ruling out Dickinson yet. Dude has some size and skills. I think he could find a role and improve if he gets a chance.

I don’t think so. I believe this is a foundation year. Let our veterans push for the wins rookies get experience. Run it back next season. 3rd year you have cap space to get whatever it is you’re missing to get on top. By then the west should be down a few superstar vets
