Staying at the Fort Lauderdale Ritz Carlton for 3 nights in August. Looks like there’s a water taxi from the hotel to different bars/restaurants.

If anyone has been to the area, any restaurant/bar recommendations nearby?

Recent thread. There is another one from May that didn’t get a lot of response.

Florida coast is supposed to get hit with seaweed on its beaches this summer. You may want to check into that.

Check out Gran Forno on Las Olas for breakfast and coffee or lunch sandwiches one morning. Great Italian bakery. Make a morning/afternoon of strolling up and down Las Olas. Lots of cute shops for the Mrs.

Honestly, you may not need to take the water taxi. There’s good restaurants up and down the beach from where you’re staying.

It's a fun way to cruise around for a while, though, even without a particular destination in mind.

Water taxis are a cool and relaxing way to see Fort Lauderdale and down to Hollywood from the water.

It will probably take longer than you’d imagine, but it’s a nice time.

Shooters is a pretty cool restaurant that has a taxi stop.

Enjoy

Tiki Tiki in Hollywood Beach is our favorite place down that way.

Cafe Ibiza, Solluna, and Elbo Room. You can walk from your hotel.

Elbo Room is fun, on the beach.

Many of the bars & restaurants on the river are associated with hotels. The Boathouse at the Riverside is the same. We stayed at the Riverside so hit that place a lot. Was solid food/drinks with great setting.

ETA- Casa Sensei was amazing sushi not far from Las Olas. Asian and Latin fusion concept.
