Stuart Fails To Save The Universe
That’s right.. even BBT has a fricking multiverse now
But I really liked Stuart and Kripke’s characters and Brian Posehn makes me laugh so I’ll probably check it out.

The “Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Stuart Fails to Save the Universe” has officially been greenlit at HBO Max, Variety has learned.
quote:
“Comic book store owner Stuart Bloom (Sussman) is tasked with restoring reality after he breaks a device built by Sheldon and Leonard, accidentally bringing about a multiverse Armageddon. Stuart is aided in this quest by his girlfriend Denise (Lapkus), geologist friend Bert (Posehn), and quantum physicist/all-around pain in the arse Barry Kripke (Bowie). Along the way, they meet alternate-universe versions of characters we’ve come to know and love from ‘The Big Bang Theory.’ As the title implies, things don’t go well.”

I can never tell if the guy is always doing a bit or if he is just truly pathetic and sad. I recently watched his season of America’s Worst Celebrity Chefs (with Johnny Bananas) and he was just so sad the whole time

Art imitates life I suppose

Sounds cool. I really enjoyed watching Young Sheldon. The casting was superb. I hope this show holds the standard to meet expectations.

Are there different laugh tracks in the multiverse?

Stuart was fine but spinoff material?? Meh.

Those characters were all fine in their minor roles, this show is gonna suck.

I hear that in one multiverse the stock audience track is nothing but the dramatic reaction from Family Matters

As a TBBT fan, we'll give it a try. These were were good minor supporting character and I'm not sure how this concept will work. The character of Stuart I liked less and less as the show progress in the last years. The Character of Denise was a nice additional and the Chemistry between her and Stuart was good.
Worth a look. Since it's on HBO/MAX I wonder it they'll keep it PG or make it PG13/R rated?

That’s what I’m wondering. As successful as Young Sheldon was, along with how popular George and Mandy’s show is (and coupled with some of the dumb shite that makes it to TV) I can’t see a network passing on at least a few episodes of this on the hopes of riding the BBT’s wave of success unless it’s going to be too vulgar for the networks. Then again I can’t really Stuart using R rated language, Kripke- yes

Stuart and the minor characters in a regular spin-off? May not work.
Stuart and the minor characters in a twisted multiverse, laden with special effects and f-bombs? May be a lot of fun.

I was very suspect on Young Sheldon but I think this might be a bridge too far.

This is where I’m at, I’ll give it a shot. Especially if we get the resurgence of other minor characters like Raj’s sister, adult Missy and Georgie, Zack, Will Wheaton, someone playing a young original Professor Proton, etc.

I was too and was late to the game in starting it, but I ended up loving that show. It's not as rewatchable as Big Bang Theory, but it had more heart to it. I'd put it right up there with the original .
Georgie and Mandie is ok. I'd give it a B-.
I'll definitely watch this new show, but I don't have high expectations. I guess the show creators should get the benefit of the doubt at this point though.

Can't wait to see Sheldon as a typical Texas normie.

I remember saying that about Frazier Crane. I'm not saying this will be that good but I didn't expect much from Frazier.

Those characters were the best thing about the show. I really didn't care for the main characters. They should also throw in Zack, Penny's dumb boyfriend.

Oh good call
There is a lot of comedic value to be had from these spinoff characters explaining to Zack about multi dimensions and trying to alleviate his confusion

Only to find out Zack solved string theory in the multiverse and has a Nobel prize while Sheldon is a State Trooper in Texas and curses every other word.
