What's sad is this "We Used to Be A Proper Country" graph isn't even, well, proper

Nebraska, Missouri, and Colorado should be Big12

SETX should be Big12

I will have to defer to our Iowa posters to explain how ISU was ever more popular than Iowa.

In my 50+ years of life Iowa has always been more popular in-state than ISU. Iowa is the more popular team in every county in the state except Story County where Ames is located.

I’m too lazy to google histories of each school to make a guess, so I’ll ask. Why is Iowa the more popular school?

I’ve always enjoyed watching the Cy-Hawk Battle. It’s had its share of low-scoring games, which is a refreshing change.
