Only fools or immoral people would trust liars to run their government. A true leader would tell the voters the truth, the whole truth and nothing but truth. Regardless.

I'm surprised the Democratic Party has not jogged towards the center. It seems like the only thing politicians are good at is staying in power. I thought Democrats would have figured it out after their most recent thumping.

They positioned themselves to where any move to the center will abandon the vocal portion of their party. When you don't use logic and sound reasoning, everything you have is built on a house of cards. All they can do at this point is try to keep it from falling.
