It’s set to play before Jurassic Park next week.

I can’t believe we’re starting to get trailers. Felt like they just started filming.

Nolan always throws out a teaser a year before release

I'm hoping that the suspenseful music in that trailer isn't 90% of the soundtrack... but it probably will be.

anyone else not like Jon Bernthal in this?

I love Bernthal as an actor, but he just sounded like he was playing The Punisher in the Odyssey in that scene

maybe he gets better, but that scene did not come off as great

it reminded me of Denzel in Gladiator II

I completely agree. I was gonna post the same thing you just did. It's just Bernthal playing Bernthal. Almost took me out of it

I was pretty underwhelmed by that. Still, it’s Nolan and he’s earned the benefit of the doubt

But I feel like making a movie adaptation of one of the greatest epics ever created should have a trailer, especially a teaser, that feels…epic? Grand in scale? I got none of that. Probably should have waited for more filming before dropping something like this.

I’m all for trailers not showing much but give us something to be excited about all we saw was Tom Holland crying, shots of the ocean and Jon Bernthal playing Jon Bernthal.

The whole film seems miscast. Bernthal is great, but as stated does not seem to fit this type of film. He's a gritty American street actor.

And Matt Damon is the lead??

I'm sorry, but Damon is not exactly who I think of when you say classic Greek actor. He's a light comedy actor now and has been for years.

Agreed. I'm a total Nolan sucker - even liked Tenet - but I thought that felt more like a random clip than a teaser.

That said, it was filmed on someone's Motorola in a dark theater so we should probably hold our horses

I watched parts of The Return (2024) with Ralph Fiennes as Odysseus yesterday, after reading about it in one of the other Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey threads. It felt kind of boring until one really wild scene at the end.

It’s Nolan. It’s going to be epic. Probably alot of back and forth between the Trojan war and his journey back home. Theres turmoil at Odysseus’s home as well as they try and overthrow his kingdom. Nolan has a lot to work with and it’s going to be epic imo

I normally dont bash on people for not reading but I feel like this is one of those "must reads" in someone's lifetime...like Dante's Inferno, Beowulf, Moby Dick, Frankenstein, Gatsby, etc.

I just hope he doesnt try and make it "realistic" by having the Cyclops just be some elephant man or some shite

I love the Classics so I hope he does it justice
