This would have been a decent summer hit. Not sure why Amazon released straight to Prime!!

Because neither Idris Elba or John Cena can cut the mustard as movie stars

Ironically (because of The Suicide Squad) I think that’s mostly true. Cent is a bit of a caricature of himself now but leaned well into Vacation Friends and Peacemaker.

The movie was pretty good for what it was. More along the lines of “Big Game” or “White House Down” as an absurdly fun action film.

It was fun. Kept a brisk pace and had some good action without taking itself too seriously. A bit of cheese but the action was crisp.

Just watched it. I enjoyed it. Worth a watch if you’ve got time for a good action film.

I have mixed feelings about the movie...it was terrible yet entertaining at the a same time. I had to constantly remind myself I chose to watch a John Cena movie voluntarily.
That said, after watching it I immediately went to MAX and watched Omar and Brother Malzon kill Stringer Bell. That made me feel a lot better.

I agree. Better than expected. The shootout at the safe house was cool. Also the flashback of how she found them was like a Wes Anderson action short.
Carla Gugino still looking fine, too.

I watched it last night and really enjoyed it. John Cena is a good comedic actor, Idris Elba is good at everything and I thought they played well off each other. The premise is silly but it was a really fun movie.

I thought this was a fun movie, kind of a goofy riff on the White House Down, London/Olympus Has Fallen genre. I like Idris and Cena, Mrs. Jonas is easy on the eyes. Paddy Considine and Stephen Root are always solid. Good cast, brisk action and pace, Jack Quaid as CIA Carl Spackler, it was an entertaining flick.

Decent film. This reminded a a lot of an old 1996 Comdey Staring Jack Lemon and James Garner called "My Fellow Americans" about 2 former Presidents of opposite parties with an assiasination attempt on them because of a cover up and they survive the crash a went on the run until they were sucessful in the end. Also, it was a much funnier film.
