Yes BBB is being done as budget reconciliation which only requires a majority vote. If you did line item bills they would all be filibustered to oblivion and nothing would get passed

We wouldn’t get the 60 votes, govt gets more of your money and Pubs will all cry and blame the Dems.

You can do one reconciliation per fiscal year. Otherwise it needs 60 senate votes to end a debate…….

You can open this forum and probably just in this thread and see why.

By grouping up everything into a single bill, you can pick and choose which parts you want to highlight in order to accuse people of being for or against those things.

So you can put - kill all pet dogs in there, an increase for pay in military soldiers, and everyone has to give their 1st born son to a foreign country in a single bill. Then if someone is against it, you say - this person is against giving a pay increase to the military, he's terrible. And you can try to point out the other parts all you want, but those are just the price to get that one thing that is good.

And they all know it, don't give a shite, and just think it's part of the game. All that matter is whatever agenda thing they want and they are willing to sacrifice everyone else to get it.

Trump Will never get any votes from Democrats because of their TDS. So the only way he can pass anything is by reconciliation avoiding the filibuster. Biden was able to pass some stuff like the infrastructure bill because republicans stupidly went along with it.
