Small Town Eateries from Your Childhood that You Still Frequent and Enjoy

I'm sitting here eating something I've probably eaten 1k times since I was 4 or 5, which got me thinking about all my favorite childhood spots I still enjoy.
What are some local places you loved as a young kid (12 and under, I guess)?
Restaurant name, town/state, and first year and age you probably first experienced it.
1. Hi-Ho BBQ in Hammond, Louisiana. I first ate here around 82 or 83 when I was 5. I'm currently sitting here enjoying a beef, a beef with cheese, fries, and a Barqs.
2. Erdy's Sandwich Shop in Albany, Louisiana. Same years! 82 or 83 (5), probably was there much younger, but I remember those pre-school and Kindergarten years. It hasn't been called Erdy's for probably 20 years or more. It has been called just The Sandwich Shop until about 2 years ago, when 2 sisters bought the business and changed the name to Railway Cafe--but also keeping The Sandwich Shop sign that has been up since the early 80s.
3. G and J's in Livingston. 82-83 (5) again! Fish and shrimp box was my go-to as a kid. It's not the best, but it just feels like home some days.
4. R and A Orchids in Elijay, Ga. The year was 87 (10). I stop by at least once a year as I go through my old stomping grounds. Their handpies are incredible and made fresh (duh), but that bacon and apple butter sandwich on Texas toast is my favorite.
5. The Creme Hut in Chatsworth, Ga. 87 again (10). American burgers and fries done right. I always try to hit it when I'm in town.
6. Pizza King in Chatsworth, Ga. I think it was 88 (11) because it opened after I moved there. I've been a few times in the past 4 or 5 years. The pizza is ok, but their breadsticks are still some of my favorites!
Share away! I'm also looking for recommendations via your memories! Thanks in advance!

KY Bicycle Shop in Slidell was my favorite. The husband and wife there are the definition of resiliency in my opinion.

Not small town by any means...
But I have a few diners I frequent here in the big city since childhood...

El Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant on Airline Hwy across from Frank’s.
My sister took me there when I turned 12 in 1969 to try to broaden my culinary horizons.
It’s still my go-to for really good food and really good people.

My eateries as a kid was in Vinton, and they are all gone long ago.

No longer open but very fond memories of my youth and would return frequently if still open. Thibodaux
- Goulas Pool Hall - BBQ beef poboy. A mixture of BBQ sauce I have never duplicated.
Percy’s restaurant - a simple 80/20 burger made with cracker meal. Distinct flavor.
Venition Bar - Ham / cheese Poboy - fresh sliced whole ham.
In the rear was a small cafe that served breakfast and lunch. Friday during Lent was fried choupic!

Love the BBQ, hate the vinegar tasting beans.

The barbecue place in Laplace, I forgot the name. I'd go there for my birthday every year.

The Sunday breakfast at the enlisted mess at NAS Atsugi in the early 80s. It's the only place I remember eating as a kid that just seemed like a magical place. At that age, it seemed to me like the way most of you would look at a casino buffet for the first time.

Man I would love a ham biscuit or two from Delta Sportsman in Donaldsonville. It's been about 35 years though.
