Teen Rehab Centers

Long story short, our 16-year-old son is addicted to every type of pill he can get his hands on. We've been fighting this for over a year now, but it's gotten beyond our control. He's been in therapy for two years now and things seem to have only gotten worse. We're running into two problems right now:
1. He doesn't want to go.
2. There are very few adolescent programs that we've been able to find.
I've done quite a bit of research, but I'm hoping someone on here might have a little additional information. I guess my main two questions are:
1. Does anyone know the process for getting him involuntarily committed?
2. Does anyone have a recommendation for treatment facilities for teens? We have BCBS insurance.
Thanks in advance

This is when we and the 16 year old move to rural Montana. Eliminate the supply chain.

Damn, man, I wouldn't be bringing my personal drama onto this message board. But you do you.

I dont mean to be overly critical, but he's 16 and you're the Dad. If he doesn't want to go....tough shite.
Does he live with you?

The juvenile Teen Challenge program in Arkansas is decent from what a coworker told me.
I work in the field in Louisiana and there are almost no options for adolescents. Coworker had a 16/17 year old with a problem and he went there for about 6 months to a year, completed his GED and has been doing well for a couple of years now.
All facilities will advertise how great and unique they are. Most aren’t. Most suck. Be careful where you send your child.

I wouldn’t necessarily call it drama. More like a cry for help if anybody on here has dealt with something similar.

Is YCP still a thing?

Is that the Teen Challenge Ranch in Morrow that you’re talking about? That’s the one we’ve been looking into

Honestly I doubt it would help. Until he’s ready to stop it’s pretty useless. And if he’s addicted then being ready to stop is gonna take some pain. But is he really addicted or is this just dad saying that because he’s been caught a few times with some norcos

I can’t remember the name of it but there’s a facility in Dallas that treats addiction that takes the traditional approach along with therapy and neurological/medical approach.
Your child is 16. You don’t need his permission to admit him to rehab.

if you can’t find something in this shithole state, move with him someplace that does have what you need. or like the other guy said, a cabin in Montana
Do what you gotta do before what you should have done becomes all you got

I don't know about any rehab centers for you, but just wanted to say good luck in this. I imagine that is hell dealing with.

I have put myself in his shoes, and what options does he have?
He’s desperate, running out of options, and his 16-year old still has a lot of life ahead of him and a salvageable future.
He’s doing what any good father would do, damn the judgement of others.

No, he’s going for sure. It’s just a matter of having to do it by force. We want him to go voluntarily and be open to it, but it’s happening whether he wants it or not. He lives with me and my wife- both parents

If involuntary, what keeps them from bolting? Sorry for your situation.

He’s definitely addicted. Xanax, hydrocodone, OxyContin, adderall, literally any pill he can get his hands on. Text message logs between him and his dealers, he stole money from my wife, and he’s failed every drug test we’ve given him in the last two weeks. So yes, he’s addicted

I know. And we can’t make him want to get better. Believe me, we have done everything in our power to make it that way.

Does he acknowledge that he has a problem? My SIL is an addict, currently clean, but she had to hit rock bottom a time or too finally get clean.
