How long before AI starts recording everything

Each smart phone has multiple microphones and we know they listen (why I randomly get back shaver ads after discussing such things in conversation), so how long before AI starts storing full conversations and that data gets hacked for blackmail or becomes subject to court orders or your company uses it to find out which jokes you said in the break room need to be re-told to HR?

After Snowden, you'd have to be an idiot to think that anything other than your thoughts are NOT being recorded.

almost all of our Microsoft Teams meeting are recorded and transcribed. At first I thought it was a great feature but as someone who facilitates planning and scheduling meetings I’ve noticed it often kills people desire to come off mute with ideas, questions, and feedback. And people overlap meetings intentionally then just watch the recap or read the transcribed notes from a meeting hurting participation and attendance. So most small team meetings or demos I don’t let them turn the feature on.

This is a tough one. Personally, I don't care if I sound stupid and the record of the meeting is pretty solid proof for later when shite doesn't get done. That being said, I can see how people are more nervous to talk.

Go binge watch Person of Interest.
Great TV show that semi addressed this topic before AI was mainstream.

Been doing that.
Everything you do and everywhere you go is recorded
Don’t worry though, it’s for your own safety

Ed Snowden spilled the beans a decade and a half ago that this had all been happening for a LONG time back then.
It always surprises me how many people just completely forgot all that he revealed. How ever bad you think it is, its much, MUCH worse.

I sometimes think my thoughts are being recorded. I can just think about something and a fricking ad pops up.

At any moment, your porn interests profile can be sent to your mother, kids, boss and clergy.
And so can theirs.
