Awesome game just found this.

Ben mcdonald pitches the 9th inning. I forgot how dominant he was. I was young. I wonder what his velocity would read on today's radar gun. He hit 95 in this game. Today's velocity is measured from when the pitcher releases it. 102 maybe?

Springer was a great pitcher. Lim was one of my fav CF at LSU. Osik played every position one game. Rosenblatt should have never closed.

Funny to watch these old games and see absolutely no hint of the score in the game except at the end of innings or if someone scores.

yeah we’ve been spoiled now always having score, outs, inning, even pitch count on the screen at all times.

even football back in the day didn’t have the score or even the clock on screen most of the time.

We've has some really great centerfielders over the years. Ron Lim was a good one.

Springer was very effective, but I don't know if he would sniff an SEC roster now. Right handers have to throw upper 90's to even get looked at. I

Did you happen to watch the second Arkansas game in Omaha?

Location, command, and ball movement never goes out of style.

Ron’s son just graduated from Dunham. He’s going to play for ULL next year.
